Dynamics Ax 4.0 Technical Dashboard

Dear All,

It was very difficult to monitor multiple instance of Dynamics Ax ERP application with single point of web application. This scenario inspired me to design a technical dashboard which monitor DAX infrastructure effectively. I identified some key parameters which are needed to monitor and manage daily.

After spending considerable efforts on this application, we developed a dashboard which is based on technologies like T-SQL, CSS/HTM, SSRS & WMI script. This dashboard is blessing to guys involved in Dynamicas Ax , Database and System administration.

The key parameters monitored using this dashboard are as below.
Dynamics AxAOS load balancing (High availability)
Managing Dynamics ax sessions.
Dynamics Ax Batch jobs management.
Ensure AOS server availability.
Ensure availability of Test systems.

MS SQL serverEnsure availability of MS SQL other dependent windows service (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, SQL Agent, MS-SQL server)
Monitoring database mirroring/clustering.
Monitoring SQL bottle neck situation.
Index fragmentation and load analysis.
Monitoring Backups and other important SQL Jobs.
Managing SSRS user sessions.
Managing SSRS subscriptions.
MS SQL replication latency monitor.

MS Windows/Operating systemMonitoring DAX hosted server farm.
Monitoring WTS load balancing (NLBMGR.exe)
Physical space management.
Monitor windows event logs (Application, System & Security audits).
Memory load analysis of Dynamics ax using windows service (AOS service, SQL server windows service and Windows Terminal services)

Dynamics Ax Failed batch job alerts.
Alerts single user multiple sessions.
Idle sessions count alert.
Deadlock notification.
Low disc space alerts.
Failed backups job notification.
Terminal server health alerts.
MS SQL server role changing alerts (Principal to Mirror server).
Server memory load alerts.
Critical system/application alerts

Note: Some of these alerts are generated only if the parameter exceeds the set limits.

Silent featuresSave cost on OS/Database administering application (MOM, SOM etc.).
Live statistics of whole Dynamics Ax IT infrastructure.
Alerts via Mobile sms is also possible.
Manage all the possible key areas with single point web application.
